Wei Chi is currently an Assistant Professor of Economics. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Renmin University of China (Beijing, China) and a Ph.D. in Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis-St. Paul.
Chi’s research interests lie in the field of labor economics, public economics, and econometrics. Her current research focuses on the impact of unemployment insurance benefits on the jobless duration, re-employment probability, and post-reemployment earnings of displaced workers, as well as immigrants’ displacement experiences and use of UI programs.
