Cassou is currently an Associate Professor of
Economics. He received a Bachelor of Arts in economics and applied
mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley and a Ph.D. in
economics from the University of Minnesota. Recently Cassou has taught
at the State University of New York in Stony Brook and Oberlin College
and has been a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of
Cleveland.
Cassou's research interests lie in macroeconomics
and public finance, and much of his work incorporates advanced
econometric methods. His work has appeared in journals such as
The Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of
Economic Dynamics and Control, Journal of Human Resources, Economic
Inquiry, Economics Letters,
and
Economic Modeling as well as in several
books.
