Collaborative Scholar Funds for Ecological Genomics
The Ecological Genomics Targeted Excellence Program is pleased to announce a funding opportunity for Collaborative Scholarship.
Purpose: Collaborative Scholar funds are for travel-related activities and will, on average, be in the neighborhood of $1,000. The intent is to support travel of individuals to K-State or visits by K-State faculty with colleagues elsewhere that foster ecological genomics research. Example activities might include grant or paper writing, field site visits, etc. Funding for scientific meetings will not be supported.
Eligibility: K-State faculty with interests in Ecological Genomics.
To apply: Program deadlines are March 1, June 1, September 1, and December 1 of each year, although time-critical opportunities will be considered on a case-by-case basis at any time. Applications should consist of a one-page letter detailing (1) the nature of the collaborative activity, (2) the names and positions of the specific individuals with whom the applicant will be collaborating, (3) the costs involved (include the source of transportation cost estimates), and (4) an explanation how this activity will enhance the Ecological Genomics Program at Kansas State University. Applications should be sent as a PDF to dmerrill@ksu.edu or by mail addressed to:
