Floral character evolution in the genus Phlox (Polemoniaceae)

Carolyn J. Ferguson

Our lab is focused on plant systematics in the broad sense, with an emphasis on evolution of the genus Phlox (Polemoniaceae). Ecological genomics research underway involves marker development for QTL mapping to explore the functional significance of floral characters related to pollinator shifts within particular clades of this diverse genus.
