Requesting Interpreters
Sign Language Interpreters are available for students who request them. Students should contact the DSS office to register for services prior to requesting an interpreter.
As soon as your course schedule is complete, please contact DSS to set up interpreters for the semester. Interpreters are assigned a set schedule at the beginning of the semester. A student can typically expect to see the same interpreter for each class session.
A student may request an interpreter for K-State related meetings or events not associated with their course. Examples may include appointments with instructors or the financial aid office, Landon Lectures, or theater productions. Please complete an interpreter request form online or in the DSS office at least 3 days in advance of the appointment/event in order for DSS to have time to make the necessary arrangements.
