Application for Services
Students are asked to register with DSS by completing an application form, providing appropriate documentation and meeting with a staff member.
Documentation Guidelines
Documentation of a disability must be provided in order to determine eligibility for services.
Accommodations and Services
DSS provides a wide range of accommodations and services to students with documented disabilities.
Online Courses and Great Plains IDEA
DSS welcomes all of our online students. Disability Support Services is responsible for arranging accommodations for online students enrolled in for-credit courses. Kansas State University offers for-credit, online courses through the Division of Continuing Education (DCE), Great Plains IDEA and AG* IDEA.
Emergency Evacuation
Students are responsible for knowing appropriate emergency information for their classrooms, living areas, and/or work areas, this includes: emergency plans, exit locations, alternate routes, and the location of "points of rescue". Student Organizations
Disability Support Services has two student organizations that provide students with disabilities an opportunity to get involved within the campus community.

The University and DSS support you in your right to file a grievance when you believe you have been denied equal access to academic programs and services offered at K-State.
