The 2007 Cannes Film Festival Director’s Award winner and Golden Globe winner for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Director is based on the internationally acclaimed memoir of Jean-Do Bauby, the high-flying editor of French Elle who was renowned for his sense of humor and style, when, in an instant, his world is turned upside-down by the on-set of a significant disability. Jean-Do uses enormous courage and determination but, most of all, his soaring imagination to escape from his situation.

This non fiction play is based on the true stories of individuals who have MS and aims to spread awareness about the prevalence of multiple sclerosis, show the creative coping skills that people with MS use to overcome obstacles associated with the disease, educate the general population about the symptoms that arise with MS, and to debunk many of the misconceptions people may have about MS.

Matt’s interpretation of these popular cultural icons educates, but most importantly encourages a fresh look at life around us.
Matt Glowacki is a businessman, community activist, former Eagle Scout and Paralympian (having been born without legs).
