K-Access' Quick and Simple Accessibility Checklist
The following checklist can be used to ensure content is accessible at a basic level. More advanced levels of accessibility and best practices for student useability can be found in our "Resources" area.
Text Documents:
Content should be accessible by a wide variety of software, such as screen readers. We recommend PDF, Word, or RTF files.
PowerPoint presentation slides:
Not only should you presentation be content accessible, you want to make sure that you use good structure to convey thoughts as well.
Web Accessibility:
Make sure that you follow standards for appropriate webpage accessibility for even the simplist of content.
Audio / Video Accessibility:
Creating accessible audio and video files from the start is essential.
Software:
It is our responsibility to purchase accessible software for student use.
