Using K-State Online Settings for Accessibility


K-State Online has been developed to work well with assistive technology; however, some applications used in K-State Online will, by their very nature, not be accessible.

For example, technology has not progressed to the point of automatic captioning; therefore, live audio chat will always be inaccessible to students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. It may be necessary to modify course structure in some instances (such as move to text-based chat).

Providing accommodations for testing, however, is the most common and the easiest accommodation to provide students. Click the links below to obtain information on providing testing accommodations using the K-State Online platform.
