    Application for Services

    Students are asked to register with DSS by completing an application form, providing appropriate documentation and meeting with a staff member.

    Documentation Guidelines

    Documentation of a disability must be provided in order to determine eligibility for services.

    Accommodations and Services

    DSS provides a wide range of accommodations and services to students with documented disabilities.

    Request for Letters of Accommodations

    Each semester, students are asked to complete a Letter of Accommodations form. These letters detail for the instructor what accommodations should be provided.

    Study Skills

    An assortment of documents explaining useful resources and tips to increase academic success. 

    Online Courses - Special Instructions

    Kansas State University offers for-credit, online courses through the Division of

    Continuing Education (DCE). Disability Support Services is responsible for arranging

    accommodations for DCE students enrolled in for-credit courses.

    Alternative Textbooks

    This information is for students with the Alternative Textbook accommodation or who

    use screen reading technology.

    DSS Shuttle Service

    This service is provided by the University for students with either a permanent disability

    or a temporary injury.

    Parking Services

    Parking Services maintains over 300 conveniently located, accessible parking stalls, near all
    campus buildings and residence halls.

    Scholarships

    Kansas State University offers scholarship opportunities to students with disabilities.

    emPower Cats

    emPower Cats is a Kansas State University student organization comprised of students with
    disabilities and their advocates.

    Delta Alpha Pi

    Academic Honor Society for students with disabilities chartered May 2009. The Alpha Kappa Chapter
    at K-State was established to recognize and commend the accomplishments of eligible students.

    Grievance Process

    The University and DSS support you in your right to file a grievance when you believe you have been denied

    equal access to academic programs and services offered at K-State.
