Students are asked to register with DSS by completing an application form, providing
appropriate documentation and meeting with a staff member.
Documentation of a disability must be provided in order to determine eligibility for services.
DSS provides a wide range of accommodations and services to students with documented
disabilities.
Each semester, students are asked to complete a Letter of Accommodations form. These
letters detail for the instructor what accommodations should be provided.
Students using testing accommodations are asked to complete a Test Request form if DSS is needed to proctor. Students should fill out the top and then visit with their instructor in order to fill out the bottom of the form.
Kansas State University offers for-credit, online courses through the Division of Continuing
Education (DCE). Disability Support Services is responsible for arranging accommodations for DCE students enrolled in for-credit courses.
This service is provided by the University for students with either a permanent disability or a
temporary injury.
