p. 33, sidebar 3.1.  In the worked solution in the third line from bottom.  Replace 1.67 with 1.85.  In the next line replace 1.83 with 1.67. The answer is still correct.

p. 207,  2nd line from bottom should read "electrons and high values of redox denoting few transferable electrons."

p. 255,  4th full paragraph, starting 5th line.  Should read:  Another  transformation is the use of sulfide as an electron donor for anoxygenic photosynthesis that yields sulfate in a process analogous to using water as an electron donor for oxygenic photosynthesis.

p. 318, example 16.1, problem 3. Q should be 0.04 in problem and table header.


p. 407, starting 7th line.  Should read: These results are consistent with the view that odd numbers of trophic levels lead to higher producer biomass.
