2013 MLK Observance Week
The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Observance Week Planning Committee is pleased to announce its line-up of events for the 2013 celebration. Every year’s observance has its own unique character and this year, we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the “I have a Dream Speech” delivered by Dr. King at the historic March on Washington in 1963. This is one of the most iconic speeches in the world today, and it is hard to believe that five decades have gone by since that moment on the mall that propelled a national transformation. With this in mind, the 2013 theme is, “50 Years of Pursuing the Dream.” The MLK Observance Week Planning Committee is very excited to bring you this year’s events, as we continue the celebration of this truly great man like no other campus does in the nation.
