The purpose of the New Faculty Institute is to introduce newly hired faculty to our missions of teaching, research and service, and to facilitate their successful involvement in those missions.
This Institute will offer a great opportunity to new faculty through information, training, networking, and peer mentoring. All New Faculty Institute sessions will be hosted by university faculty leaders with expertise in the topic areas. You can access their web page at http://www.ksu.edu/nfi.
In addition, there will be a New Faculty Mixer during the New Faculty Staff Orientation in the K-State Student Union on Thursday, August 16, 2007 during the Break Out Session form 2:00 to 2:40 pm in the Flint Hills Room.
On October 20, 2008, there will be an event at the Konza Prairie. Details will be posted when completed at: http://www.k-state.edu/nfi/konza.htm
Please communicate this opportunity to your new faculty hires and strongly encourage them to register for the Institute. A sample letter that you might use as a guide when communicating with your new faculty is available at the following links in two formats: WORD / PDF
The agenda for the New Faculty and Staff Orientation is not available at this time. When it is ready, a link to it will be posted on this page.
