Responding to Emergency or
Crisis Situations Involving Students

In cases of immediate on-campus emergencies - fire, accident, etc.- call the University Police at 2-6400 or 911.

There may be times when you feel urgent action is needed or you need assistance with a student problem. It is important that we respond quickly in a sensitive and caring manner in times of unexpected student or family crisis. For the past several years, the Office of Student Life has coordinated the University response in situations involving death, serious injury, or sudden illness of students and provided assistance to students in times of family crisis.

For After-Hours emergencies, please contact the KSU Police Department at 532-6400 or 911.

In order to provide timely university response at all times, a priority call list has been developed so that if one individual is not at home, back-up people are available.

As soon as you learn of a crisis situation (day or night), please be sure that one of the following is contacted as soon as possible. Start at the top of the list.
