during the week that preceeds the designated period for final examinations)
The complete policy on final examinations and activities permitted
during the week that preceeds the designated period for final examinations can be found in
sections F70 - F74 of the University Handbook (http://www.ksu.edu/academicpersonnel/fhbook/fhsecf.html).
This is reprinted below for your convenience.
Summary of the major points in our policy:
- Final examinations are to be given during the time period published
in the Schedule of Classes for that semester. Exceptions are noted in F70 and F71.
- Take-home examinations, projects, papers, etc., that serve in lieu of a final examination
cannot be due before the scheduled time for the final examination published in the
Schedule of Classes for that semester (F70).
- No examinations, other than weekly laboratory quizzes, studio, or language proficiency
examinations, may be given during the last five calendar days before the designated
period for final examinations. These exceptions are noted in F70.
- Students who have more than two examinations scheduled in a 24-clock hour period
may petition the instructor of the higher numbered course to take the final
examination at another time during the final examination period.
