Dual Career Development

In keeping with the University's commitment to recruit and retain high quality faculty and staff, the Office of Diversity and Dual Career Development also provides assistance to spouses of faculty members who are seeking employment. This assistance is primarily in the form of information, referrals, networking and advocacy and may include the following:

  • Discussion of career goals and interests, salary expectations, willingness to travel
  • Informing spouses of positions on campus and in the community
  • Reviewing resumes, curriculum vita, and letters of application
  • Calling prospective employers to let them know of spouses' application
  • Providing follow-up on status of application
  • The Office works collaboratively with deans and department/unit heads to broker solutions to dual career situations.
