At races he is cheered on by his beautiful wife Karen, daughters Hanah and Maddy, and son Zachary. Chad is also jeered on by race officials and some riders for his advanced experience and age in the peloton...although he isn't the oldest rider in the conference. Chad snapped his 17 year loosing streak last year when he was part of the winning KSU TTT A squad at the KU race, then again as part of the KSU TTT B squad that took home the GOLD!...for the B's. His daughter lost the medal two days later when she brought it to "show and tell." Oh well...
