New Orleans Spring Break Trip
Please be praying to see if God would lead you to spend your spring break helping victims of Hurricane Katrina.
As you may already know, last fall Campus Crusade from KSU lead two trips to Pass Christian, Mississippi to help with clean-up efforts. We had planned on spending spring break there again, but as many people from other schools have signed up as Crusade can use in the Pass. But there is still need in New Orleans! So, we are excited to be leading a group to New Orleans, Louisiana, over spring break. We are expecting people from another KSU campus ministry to join us and would invite anyone who wants to help to join us as well.

When: March 18-25. The plan is to meet at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, at Faith Evangelical Free Church get organized and head out. We will drive through the rest of Saturday and through the night, arriving in New Orleans Sunday morning. We will begin working Sunday afternoon. After we finish working on Friday, we will get showered, eat supper, pack up, and leave. We will drive through the night on Friday night and Saturday, arriving back in Manhattan sometime Saturday evening (March 25th).

Cost: When you register, you will pay $30 (if registered before 3/4). This cost covers our food and facilities while we are in New Orleans. There will also be $35 collected for additional expenses for our food and gas on the way down and back that will be collected prior to the trip.

Sign Up: YOU NEED TO REGISTER BEFORE SATURDAY, MARCH 4th, if you want the $20 discount. The following link will take you to the form you need to fill out on Crusade's website: Register

What We'll Be Doing: Word is that we will be gutting houses. Basically, take everything out of the house and strip everything off the walls, down to the studs.

What To Bring: We'll worry about a more inclusive list later, but do start gathering tools such as hammers and crow bars. You may also see if you have access to walkie talkies to use on the way down, and get that sleeping bag out as you'll need it too.
