This is a pilot Chinese culinary workshop highlights the local Chinese restaurant chef to give you a hands-on practice to make your own delicious dishes. It also serves as a fun and relax occasion to learn and improve food safety knowledge from the inspectors of Kansas Department of Agriculture and socialize with people may have the same interest with you.
The Confucius Institute offers practical and fun Mandarin Chinese classes for children and adults. Both beginners and experienced learners are welcome. We also have parent and child classes in which one or both parents/caregivers and their children learn the language together. Each course lasts for 5 weeks (10 sessions). Start time is negotiable. Additional sections may be added based on demand.
On April 23, K-State Confucius Institute hosted an ending semester party for the students enrolled in the Institute's Chinese classes. Twelve students from 3 different classes and over 20 parents and teachers were able to participate.
On Thursday April 20th, the K-State Confucius Institute invited the community members to fly kites together at City Park in order to increase understanding of the Chinese kite culture.
Welcome Our New Teacher, Dr. Licheng Liu
Dr. Liu joined the institute in late August 2016. He came to us from our Chinese partner - Jilin University. We look forward to working with him!
