    WEB SITE ACCESSIBILITY COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
    October 24, 2001, 8:30 Hale 313

    In attendance: Bagby, Bale, Cauble, Corkill, Davis, Epps, Gould, Perez

    Approval of minutes of October 11, 2001

    October 30 Presentation
    The location of the presentation was changed from the Big 12 Room to the Union Little Theatre to accommodate a larger crowd. Gerry Snyder will provide technology support and video tape the session. Another training session might be scheduled through ECC for professional videotape that can be loaned to departments, faculty, etc.

    Implementation Plan
    The committee will distribute tools to Deans, Directors and Department Heads and the Departmental Resource Representative. Additional tool kits will be available for mailing through iTAC. Bale and iTAC offered assistance in putting the packets together.

    Web Access for All Tools
    Janelle is developing the log for the tools. The committee indicated that the tools should be limited to a maximum of 10 pages. Phyllis Epps will develop a bookmark to be included with the tools that includes appropriate websites.

    IRMC
    The IRMC will develop a web site accessibility compliance statement.

    Assistance for K-State Web Developers
    Janelle, Susan and Jennifer Foltz will develop a train the trainer session for iTAC and other trainers who will then develop training for the entire university. Nancy Calhoun and Rebecca Gould will work on a training schedule for web developers. A campus wide listserv will be developed to discuss accessibility issues.     Current Compliance
    Janelle and Neil will run "Bobby" on the main K-State web pages to develop an initial benchmark for compliance.
