    K-State IT policies apply to the use of CNS resources, as do all applicable K-State policies and procedures and all federal, state, and local laws.

      The following policies derive from K-State policies above and beyond the Information Technology Usage Policy. They are iterated here for the sake of completeness.
    • No use may be made of university computing or networking resources for commercial activity nor for advertising for commercial activity.
    • Excepting a few individuals in affiliated units, only emeritus and current members of the student body, faculty, or staff at K-State are authorized to use computing and networking resources.
    • Copyright laws must be respected in all uses of information technology at K-State.
    • Making, distributing, or using unauthorized copies of licensed software is prohibited.
    • Posting, mailing, or possessing illegal materials in electronic form is prohibited.
    • Use of electronic facilities to violate any K-State or Kansas Board of Regents policy or local, state, or federal law is prohibited.
