I was born in Clay Center, KS. I was raised in Wakefield. I graduated from Wakefield High School. I went to school there and participated in volleyball, basketball, track, and softball. I went to Cloud County Community College in Concordia, KS on a track scholarship. I finished at Fort Hays State with a BS in Physical Education and a K-12 teaching certification. I have not taught fulltime. I still live near Wakefield. My husband passed away in 2006, we had no children. I have three dogs, Duke, Curly, and Reba.
I had several jobs before starting at KSU in 1989. My first position was with Housing and Dining. I went to work at Facilities Grounds in 1990 and I worked there in several positions until 2008. I am now working for Custodial Services in recycling.
I really enjoy being outside doing almost anything. I enjoy reading western novels and catching a good movie. I still play slow-pitch softball. I like taking pictures. I enjoy spending time with friends and family as much as possible.
I am honored to be on the Classified Senate and I am looking forward to learning more about KSU and the Classified Senate during my term.
