Short Biography:
I was born in Manhattan and have lived here all my life. Graduated
from Manhattan High School. I have one son who is working in Kansas City
for EDS as a Computer Programmer. Have one Grandson that is getting
married Nov. 9th of 2007. I love sports and play Fantasy Football and
Baseball every year. At last count I have about 43 sons and 23 daughters
that call me their Kansas Mom.
Brief
Work History:
I started at K-State in 1973 at Farrell Library and then went and
worked for Continuing Education for almost 6 years and promoted back into
Hale Library. So that puts me at over 33 years of working for the
state.
Personal Interests:
I have a business called Wildcat Cards that started in my basement and
then went to a little place over off of Claflin, then moved to Westloop,
then moved to a little house off of 3rd Street. No, that isn't all now
that the business is back in my basement due to the redevelopment of 3rd
Street. The business is Collectible Cards Games and Sports Cards (Magic
the Gathering, Star Trek, Star Wars, Killer Bunnies, etc.) and specialized
in people that played for KSU and went on to the Pro's. That was my
interest for 10 years. Now that the business has slowed down I have taken
up Quilting. I have so far made 1 quilt and working on my next one. I
started two years ago redecorating my house, by myself and am proud to say
I
have 5 rooms done.
Additional Comments:
I'm looking forward to retirement (early I hope).
