I was born in Clay Center, Kansas. I graduated from CCCHS in 1970, and then attended Hutch Juco, Emporia State , and then KSU. I was hired by Housing in December of 1976, and commuted to work for all most two years. My wife Adalee and I moved to Manhattan in fall of 1979. My wife attended K-State and then went to work here also. We have two grown children that graduated from K-State, Adam in Mechanical Engineering 2007, and Amy in Hotel and Restaurant Management 2006. We live out side the city on ” Top of the World” with our four canine friends.
Worked for my folks at Brenner Sheet Metal, in high school and before here. Hired as a Plumber by Housing 1976, and was promoted to Physical Plant Supervisor in 1981. I have also worked for the National Asbestos Training Center (KU) in the late 1980's part time.
I love good food and being with my family and friends, my wife is a great cook. I enjoy home brewing, yard work at home, hunting, shooting and other out door stuff. I am a volunteer Range Safety Officer at Fancy Creek Range on the weekends when I have time.
