I was born in Germany and came to the United States when I was four years old (we don't need to mention the year!!!). My family settled in Chicago and I have lived in Chicago and surrounding suburbs until I moved here in August of 2008. Although I have come to really like living in Manhattan, there are certain aspects of Chicago that I really miss. Why did I move to Manhattan you may ask yourself? Well I met a wonderful man online....yes online...and we got married in 2008 and I moved here. Bob is a Kansas native, raised in Dodge City and attended K-State in 1965 and fell in love with the town. Neither Bob or I have any children, but we are the proud parents of three 11 month old kittens that we rescued from our window well when they were 5 weeks old. Midge and Phoebe are a tortoise-shell color and Squeak is an orange tabby that lives up to his name.
My time here at Kansas State is just 9 months but I enjoy working here very much. I joined the Senate in the hopes of learning more about the workings of the University and to meet new people.
Bob and I both enjoy reading and are looking forward to traveling when we retire.
I am looking forward to serving on the Senate and hope that I will be able to make a contribution.
