Community Cinema: Solar Mamas
7:00 p.m., Town Hall, Leadership Studies BUilding
Rafea lives in a small Jordanian village with 4 children and a husband eager to take a 3rd wife. Learn how she and others are empowered to become solar-energy engineers to make their communities sustainable. Free and open to the public. A discussion of the film follows the screening. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., First Floor Concourse, K-State Student Union.
Displays will include: International Coordinating Council, Office of International Programs, Asian Studies/International Area Studies, International Student and Scholar Services/International Buddies, Faculty-led Study Abroad, Study Abroad Office/Study Abroad Mentors, Friends of International Programs, and English Language Program. Marcelo Sabates, Interim Associate Provost Office of International Programs, will address "Just How International is Our Campus?" from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Big 12 Room. Part of International Education Week. Presented by the Office of International Programs.
