15th Annual K-State Research Forum (KRF). 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Second floor, K-State Student Union. Adjustment to U.S. Culture

Are you excited to be in the U.S. or are you counting the days until you can return to your home country? This workshop is designed for students, scholars, and dependents in their first year in the U.S. who would like to talk about adjusting to this new U.S. culture. Come hear about the normal pattern of adjusting to a new culture. Learn some tips for adjusting. Become aware of resources for you on campus and in the community. Presenters will be Andrew Imbrie Bratawidjaja, Counselor, Counseling Services, and Sara Thurston-González, Director of the International Student and Scholar Services.

Theater: The Hotel Casablanca. 2:30 p.m., Nichols Theatre. Set in Texas in 1948, this hilarious opera follows Tom and Tallulah Carter, wealthy owners of the Double T Ranch, and the many guests of the ranch. Supposed identities and attempted revenge fill this opera, based on the farce "A Flea in Her Ear" by Feydeau. The Hotel Casablanca will be directed by Reginald Pittman, director of the KSU Opera program. Buy tickets online or call the Box office at 532-6428. Presented by K-State Theatre.
