The workshop will include discussions of how sports teams and events draw so many fans, and how teams connect with fans in this era of sports saturation. Lessons on creating and pitching a business plan also will be part of this class.

Rick Steelsmith, a professional bowler and instructor based in Wichita, will work with students on bowling fundamentals such as stance, footwork, arm swing and finishing, and will videotape students to help them identify their weaknesses and strengths as bowlers.

Schwarm is the most prominent fine art photographer living in Kansas and his hometown is Greensburg. Prompted by a middle-of-the-night telephone call from his parents, he hurried to his hometown, checked on his family, and began a series of photographs the morning after the devastating tornado on May 4, 2007. "The Circus Comes to Town" is a display of nineteen works from the museum's permanent collection, featuring acrobats, clowns, and circus animals portrayed by such artists as John Steuart Curry, Lester Raymer, and Georges Rouault.
