In this interactive workshop, we will look inside the brain in an enjoyable way that will make neuroscience easy to understand. - Peterson Lecture: Inflationary Cosmology: Is Our Universe Part of a Multiverse? by Alan Guth. 4:30 p.m., Town Hall Room, Leadership Studies Building. Guth is the Victor F. Weisskopf professor of physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and will present a new theory on how the universe formed. Refreshments will be served at 4 p.m. in Room 123 of the Leadership Studies Building. Free and open to the public.

Kellet, professor in the College of Human Ecology, will lecture as part of K-State's nine-month 150th celebration and its Brown Bag Lunch and Lecture Series. Bring your lunch and be part of history.
- Lecture: The Design and Progress of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial by Daniel J. Feil. 2 p.m., Little Theatre, K-State Student Union. Daniel J. Feil, FAIA, executive architect of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission will present a lecture on public architecture. After Feil's talk, he will lead a Q&A and discussion. The lecture is free and open to the public.

In the poorest neighborhoods of Calcutta, a lawyer turned social entrepreneur empowers youth to take an active role in transforming their lives. Through art and hands-on activities, youth have brought clean drinking water and improved sanitation. Free and open to the public. Discussion following film screening.

Learn more about artist James McNeill Whistler and his influence on the art world and culture of his time in the profile, "The Lyrics of Art." A second video highlights the development of Whistler's style and technique. The museum's galleries will be open before the video screening, discussion will follow. Each video is approximately 25 minutes and closed captioning is available upon request. Free and open to the public.
