- Finding Mama In Academia: An Examination of the Impact of Black Female Professors on the Success of Black Students by Tosha Sampson-Choma. Noon, Hemisphere Room, Hale Library. Sampson-Choma's current study involves an ethnographic approach to understanding the impact of black female instructors on their students. Hammond is the author of "A White Collar Profession," and will discuss the underrepresentation of African-Americans in the rise of the accounting profession. - Peterson Lecture: Inflationary Cosmology: Is Our Universe Part of a Multiverse? by Alan Guth. 4:30 p.m., Town Hall Room, Leadership Studies Building. Guth is the Victor F. Weisskopf professor of physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and will present a new theory on how the universe formed. - Lecture: The Design and Progress of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial by Daniel J. Feil. 2 p.m., Little Theatre, K-State Student Union. Daniel J. Feil, FAIA, executive architect of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission will present a lecture on public architecture. After Feil's talk, he will lead a Q&A and discussion. The lecture is free and open to the public.
