Exhibit: Privacy from Prying Eyes: Jali as an Architectural Intervention. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., November 1-15, William T. Kemper Art Gallery, K-State Student Union. Sponsored by the Union Program Council.
Basketball Training Facility Tour. Noon to 1 p.m., Basketball Training Facility, located on the east side of Bramlage Coliseum. All K-State faculty and staff are invited to tour the new $18 million Basketball Training Facility. This new 50,000-square foot facility is the central headquarters for the Kansas State men's and women's basketball teams with close proximity to game day activities and other facilities such as the Academic Learning Center. Sponsored by the Athletics Department.
King Lecture: Rewiring Electrochemical Energy Storage on the Macroscale via Architectural Design on the Nanoscale and in 3D by Dr. Debra Rolison. 3 p.m., Room 4, King Hall. Dr. Rolison is a distinguished materials scientist of the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. Her research focuses on multifunctional nanoarchitectures for applications in catalysis, energy storage and conversion, and sensors. Part of the H.H. King Lecture Series sponsored by the Department of Chemistry.

University Printing Surplus Equipment and Furniture. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., 5980 Corporate Drive. University Printing has reduced its footprint resulting in excess equipment and furniture. K-State departments are being given the opportunity to repurpose these excess item before they are sent to auction. Sponsored by University Printing.

Lecture: Creating Change in Scientific Institutions through Subversion, Revolution, and Climate Change by Dr. Debra Rolison. 10:30 a.m. to noon, Room 227, K-State Student Union. Dr. Rolison is a distinguished materials scientist of the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. Apart from her long-standing leadership roles in a range of scientific and professional organizations, Dr. Rolison is also a passionate champion for diversity and gender equity in science and engineering. International Educator of the Year Award. 3:30 to 5 p.m., Hemisphere Room, Hale Library. Each year the university's International Educator of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to advancing international education at Kansas State University. One faculty, staff, administrator or other member of the K-State community is selected and will be honored for their major contributions and sustained commitment to advancing international education at K-State. The International Educator of the Year is recognized annually during International Education Week and is awarded a $1,000 honorarium. Part of International Education Week. Presented by the Office of International Programs.

Chandaria is the chairman and chief executive officer of the Comcraft Group of Companies in Kenya, and is the Kansas State University International Entrepreneur of the Year. Colloquium: A Microdomain Model of Electrical Activity in Cardiac Tissue by Joyce Lin. 2:30 p.m., 122, Cardwell Hall. Lin is a professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Utah. She will introduce the mechanisms behind cardiac conduction and present and discuss results from a new model for the electrical activity in cardiac cells. Free and open to the public.
