Transitioning from the highly-structured environment of the military, to the often ambiguous environment of a college campus can be highly intimidating and perplexing. Steve Boylan, a retired U.S. Army colonel, and Traci Scott, regional liaison officer for the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley will discuss the utility and practice of strategic communication in the context of conflict and crisis, using the Iraq battleground as a test case.
