Adjustment to U.S. Culture

Are you excited to be in the U.S. or are you counting the days until you can return to your home country? This workshop is designed for students, scholars, and dependents in their first year in the U.S. who would like to talk about adjusting to this new U.S. culture. Come hear about the normal pattern of adjusting to a new culture. Learn some tips for adjusting. Become aware of resources for you on campus and in the community. Presenters will be Andrew Imbrie Bratawidjaja, Counselor, Counseling Services, and Sara Thurston-González, Director of the International Student and Scholar Services.

Fifty brides flee to Italy in an effort to escape marrying their fifty cousins in this modern twist on a Greek play, "The Suppliant Women" by Aeschylus. Chaos arises when the grooms soon follow after. "Big Love" examines the themes of gender politics and the search for true love. Be prepared to experience a grand wedding reception.
