Meet the Art and Meet the Music—String Chamber Music. 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Beach Museum of Art. K-State's Music Department and the Beach Museum of Art have joined to bring to the public mid-day student performance on the first Tuesday of the month. The Beach will provide an up-close and personal look at artwork during a "Meet the Art" event at 11 a.m.

KSU Saxophone Chamber Music Concert. 11:30 a.m., Beach Museum of Art. This concert will feature the Royal Wildcat Saxophone Quartet, Golden Apple Saxophone Quartet, and Kansas State University Saxophone Quartet. Original music by French and Russian composers will be programmed in addition to selected transciptions from the Renaissance period. Free and open to the public.

Tatsuya Nakatani Experimental Sound Experience With Solo Percussion. 7 p.m., Beach Museum of Art. Cutting edge alternative music in Manhattan? Experimental percussionist and sound sculptor Tatsuya Nakatani will take your senses on an unforgettable journey. Drums, gongs, cast bronze bells, and handmade bows are some of the tools this artist uses to create a unique experience of sound in space.
