Benefits of Participation
- Recognition of full-time students status while participating in your internship/co-op
- Deferment of loans through Student Financial Assistance
- Continued eligibility for scholarships and financial aid upon return to campus
- Enrollment privileges through iSIS
- Usage of Student Health Services, Recreational Facilities, and Student ID privileges (with payment of student fees)
- Opportunity to structure your experience and meet objectives mutually agreed upon by yourself, your faculty liaison, and your employer
- Documentation of experience on transcript
University Recognition Requirements
- Schedule an appointment with the Assistant Director of Career Development and Internships to receive a University Recognition Packet, 532-1689
- Current enrollment at Kansas State University
- Completion of 24 credit hours, of which at least 12 must have been at K-State
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0/4.0 (or 2.5/4.0 for Engineering students)
- Plan to return to K-State after completion of work experience
- Activation of your CES account
- Agreement to complete forms and meet deadlines required for University Recognition Program
- Work must be a career-related experience, approved by a Faculty Liaison from your college
- Minimum of 480 work hours per semester required during the experience
