The purpose of these chat sessions are to provide you with an opportunity to learn about academic programs, to get some insider tips about completing applications and to connect you in “real-time” with admission representatives. For detailed information about the programs participating in today’s chat, go to the online Graduate and Professional School E-vent database.
Here are our expectations for your participation in the chat:
- For your safety, do not share personal information with anyone (students or representatives) on the chat. Email addresses, phone numbers and contact information for school representatives can be found in the online database.
- You are expected to be courteous and professional in your chat communication.
- Please be patient. Just like a face-to-face career fair, you may have to “wait in line” to ask your questions.
To get started with chat:
- Go to the chat room URL provided below.
- Enter the password sunflower and click the “Join Room” button.
- Type “hello” in the dialog box and press enter.
- Type in your first name and school when asked for your “nickname.” (e.g. Dawn-KSU)
- Refer to these chat participation tips and screenprints for additional information and to minimize distractions on your screen.
Technical difficulties with chat?
We are utilizing the meebo chat application. Please check the following if you are having any challenges accessing and/or using the chat function.
- You may be behind a firewall that’s interfering with your access to meebo. Try https://www.meebo.com.
- You may be using a web browser that meebo doesn’t yet support. Meebo recommends Firefox 2.0 and Internet Explorer 7. Here is a link regarding compatible browsers.
- Your JavaScript may not have been enabled for your browser. Go into the browser internet options to enable JavaScript.
- Make sure you are running a current version of Flash player 9 or higher.
