Engineering career fair VOLUNTEER opportunities
Be a part of hosting over 100 employers from all across the nation. Employers often express their gratitude for student volunteers on their evaluation forms following the Engineering Career Fair. This is just one of the many positive comments from employers:

Volunteer Sign Up
- Sign up online to volunteer at the career fair by selecting dates, times available, and your preferred duties.
- Contact Mary Ewing for any volunteer-related questions
- All student volunteers will receive a free set of business cards to give to employers!
Attire
- Nice shirt or polo shirt
- Nice jeans, khaki pants, or slacks
- No shorts
- Wear a coat or other appropriate clothing if you work outside
Check In
- Check in at the K-State Student Union Second Floor Cat's Pause.
- Arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time and pick up your nametag.
- You will be directed to your duty location.

Employer Unloading/Set-up
- Greet and welcome employers to K-State!
- Unload/load freight and take to appropriate table inside Student Union
- Freight that was shipped earlier will be delivered to their table ahead of time
- Direct employers to employer registration table
- Assist with set-up and hauling of displays
Employer Hospitality
- Greet and welcome employers to K-State!
- Answer questions and direct employers to appropriate locations
Employer Registration
- Greet and welcome employers to K-State!
- Escort employers to appropriate location; distribute name tags and messages
Student Registration
- Greet student participants
- Respond to questions regarding employer location, curriculum requests, intern/co-op/summer job opportunities, etc
- Provide each student a booklet and name tag
- Remind students to complete evaluation form
Lunch Relief
- Ensure employer needs are met
- Sit at employer booth while employers break for lunch
- Retrieve orders from Union Food Court for employers with career fair conference cards
Employer Tear Down/Loading
- Assist with take down and hauling of displays
- Transport freight from Union Ballroom to shuttles on east side of Student Union
- Transport freight to be shipped out to stage area
- Provide support to shipping area to ensure that employers have contacted appropriate freight company and applied labels
