Career and Employment services provides guidance to K-State students and alumni who are seeking employment opportunities including part-time, internships and career related positions. We offer individual advising, workshops and events that help clients prepare their resume, learn interviewing skills, develop job search strategies and make direct links to employers interested in hiring K-Staters.

Responsiblities
  • Interface with a team of professionals to reach consensus on design needs
  • Develop logos, web icons, and other visual images associated with current and developing programs
  • Develop and update print materials used in the promotion of CES services and events
  • Other projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • MUST have direct experience with Adobe software including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Professional
  • Strong creative and graphic design abilities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving skills
Other Information
  • Flexible scheduling of 10-15 hours per week. Position term, May 2014 through May 2015 or longer. 
  • Hourly Wage $7.75

Responsibilities 
  • Assist in entering incoming part-time, intern, and full-time job listings
  • Assist in maintaining the jobs e-mail account on a daily basis
  • Provide customer service and online support to employers listing jobs via email and phone
  • Prepare job related reports and post on the job board in the Union
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to work independently
  • Self-motivated, proactive and team-oriented attitude

Associate Director

The Associate Director serves as the CES liaison to the College of Business Administration and coordinates internal employer-related operations.  Requires a master’s degree and 5+ years of experience in human resource management, university student services, teaching, or related field.  Prefer 2 or more years of supervisory experience with direct report employees.  Also prefer relevant experience with quality improvement and customer relationship management (CRM) or other workforce/career services management software.  Professional experience related to college that the Associate Director will be serving is also helpful.
