Post Graduate Caller

Responsibilities

Post-graduate callers are K-State students whose primary responsibility will be contacting recent K-State graduates to obtain their current job status and other career information.

  • Contact recent K-State graduates to obtain job status and other career information via telephone
  • Complete post-graduate forms accurately and thoroughly
  • Collect information from alumni and families in a professional and courteous manner
  • Commit to 16 hours per week, specifically Monday - Thursday from 5 - 9 pm starting September 29, 2014 through October 30, 2014
  • Complete initial training on Monday, September 29, 2014
  • Hourly wage: $7.25
Basic Information and Qualifications
  • Experience with providing quality customer service or similar tasks
  • Solid communication skills and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Displays initiative and a motivated work style
  • Currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Kansas State University

  2. Provide class schedule

Graphic Design/Promotions Intern

Career and Employment services provides guidance to K-State students and alumni who are seeking employment opportunities including part-time, internships and career related positions. We offer individual advising, workshops and events that help clients prepare their resume, learn interviewing skills, develop job search strategies and make direct links to employers interested in hiring K-Staters.

Responsiblities
  • Interface with a team of professionals to reach consensus on design needs
  • Develop and update print materials used in the promotion of CES services and events
  • Develop and update logos, web icons, and other visual images associated with current and developing programs
  • Other projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • MUST have direct experience with Adobe software including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Professional
  • Strong creative and graphic design abilities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving skills
Other Information
  • Flexible scheduling of 10-15 hours per week. Position term, September 2014 through May 2015 or longer. 
  • Hourly Wage $8.00

Marketing & Communications Intern

Responsibilities
  • Develop and update materials used in the promotion of CES services and events.
  • Develop advertising and meet all deadlines associated with the placement of ads.
  • Write and revise press releases, public service announcements and articles.
  • Support electronic media needs, including photography and/or videography.
  • Participate in the Integrated Communications Team meetings when possible.
  • Other projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience with Adobe software including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Professional
  • Copy writing skills
  • Experience with electronic media (photography, web, video) and social networking a plus
  • Ability to work independently
  • Self-motivated, proactive and team-oriented attitude
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
Other Information
