The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for creating and managing the promotional efforts of CES. The Marketing Coordinator leads the CES marketing team and reports to the Associate Director.
The Marketing Coordinator position requires a highly motivated, team-oriented individual with strong project management skills, problem-solving abilities, and written communication skills. Must have initiative and interpersonal skills for meeting the needs of a diverse student population and for relating effectively with constituents. Should have demonstrated ability to oversee multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree and experience in advertising, marketing, communications or a related field.
Prefer a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years professional marketing experience or a master’s degree. Also prefer proficiency with software such as InDesign, Photoshop and other digital media tools.

Career Closet Intern
Career and Employment Services (CES) provides guidance to K-State students and alumni who are seeking employment opportunities including part-time, internships and career related positions. We offer individual advising, workshops and events that help clients prepare their resume, learn interviewing skills, develop job search strategies and make direct links to employers interested in hiring K-Staters.
In May 2016, CES will move to the Berney Family Welcome Center. Our new home will include space for one of our most popular activities, the CES Career Closet. Last year, we had 1,617 usable items donated to CES. During the Fall 2015 semester, the Career Closet served 312 students and 552 items of clothing were given away.
- Create and manage in-take system for donated clothing
- Sort, classify and organize clothing items
- Develop process for inventory management and tracking
- Provide input about the physical layout and furnishing of the Closet space
- Coordinate merchandising, displays and special promotions
- Assist students with clothing selection and care of professional attire
- Prepare reports that summarize usage and other program metrics
- Other duties as assigned
