The Career Development Coordinator is responsible for managing visitor services and coordinating programs and outreach that assist students early in their K-State career, especially prospective and new K-Staters. The Career Development Coordinator is involved as an advising team member and with center-wide initiatives.
The Career Development Coordinator position requires a highly motivated, team-oriented individual with strong advising, program development, public speaking and written communication skills. Must have initiative and strong interpersonal skills for meeting needs of diverse students and for relating effectively with faculty, administrators and employers. Should have demonstrated ability to oversee multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment.Some occasional evening and weekend hours are required.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree and experience in university student services, teaching, human resource management or related field. Prefer pursuit or possession of a master’s degree.
