Kansas Rural Health Works
Description:
KRHW works to foster sustainable rural health care systems, increase awareness of
health care importance, assess local perceptions of current health care services,
identify current health care assets, identify key issues in the community, mobilize
the community if issues emerge, and provide action planning for new community initiatives.
The program generates resources to extend outreach work in multiple program areas,
supports the creation of custom research and information reports for counties and
communities throughout Kansas, and provides K-State with institutional visibility
throughout the state related to rural healthcare. KRHW has also provided financial
support for several undergraduate students.
