    The Community Development Academy is a series of workshops that will provide community leaders the assessment and strategic planning information necessary to devise participatory community development plans and strategies. Participants will gain the information, resources and processes needed to guide planning to create quality sustainable communities.     ESSDACK (Educational Services and Staff Development Association of Central Kansas) is excited to announce a Community Development Academy.

    This four-day progressive workshop will bring not only community leaders but also education leaders and students together for the first time to learn and share community development tools and techniques.  The event will be held 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 26, 27 and April 23 and 24 at ESSDACK, 1500 E. 11th, Hutchinson, KS (South side of the Hutch Mall, between JCPenney's and Sears).  Teams will have the opportunity in summer 2012 to report on their progress to the whole group either in person or virtually.

    Please register by Friday, February 24, 2012.  Cost for the seminar is $280 per person up to a team of five. For over five people add $60 for each additional person.  Registration includes lunches, breaks and materials.  Registration will be made available to the first 10 teams.  Register now so you don't miss out.
