Project Assistant to Department Head, Center for Child Development, a department within the Division of Student Life. Our office is fun, professional, challenging and no two days are the same. We employ 4 to 5 office assistants each semester for our reception desk and for our ongoing projects. We need one new office assistant to work on projects and odd jobs. The position is a "girl friday" type position who can do everything from small things (like clean the break room counter, water the plants, dust the reception area and file papers) to bigger things (ex: do inventory of books or art room, set up a meeting, decorate the office, order supplies, hang a children's art display, set up conference room for board meeting, or research a topic) to even bigger things (ex: helping to organize a state conference or other event). Duties will include assisting the executive director/department head in daily tasks with an attention to detail. Position is approximately 10 to 20 hours/week...number of hours per week depends on your wants and needs; set your own schedule between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm.
Need a student who is organized, professional, focused, detail oriented, dedicated and able to work without much oversight. Work Study required - check with financial aid office to see if you qualify for work study. Prefer to have someone start immediately, can work some this summer and again in the fall.
