Participants have interactions with NSF program directors, recent
CAREER awardees, and other participants, asking more questions,
sharing what they have learned, etc.
12:30-13:00 Hazelrigg describes procedures for a typical CAREER proposal panel
meeting
13:00-16:00 Panel preparations,
conflict briefing, mock panels (about four weeks prior to the
workshop, about five proposals will be sent to attendees)
16:00-16:15 Break
16:15-16:30 Panels
report their rankings on all the proposals
16:30-18:00 Two recent
CAREER awardees present their stories and share their experiences;
and Questions and Answers
18:00-19:00 Working
dinner. Participants have more interactions with NSF program
directors, recent CAREER awardees, and other participants, asking
more questions, sharing what they have learned, etc.
