The proposal from the subcommittee for Final exam times for non-standard meeting times is attached. Each college will review the proposal (in the Appendix) and provide comments to Lynn Ewanow by February 6th.
Alison Wheatley and Heather Reed proposed changes to the University dismissal policy, specifically where it relates to first semester freshman who are dismissed after earning a semester GPA less than one. This policy has been in place since 1993. The committee discussed changing the policy so that freshmen would be treated similar to ongoing students and only be dismissed after being on warning for one semester. Wheatley will work with others and bring a formal proposal to the next meeting.
No reports due to time constraints.
The meeting adjourned at 5:10 p.m.
The next meeting will be February 11, 2009 – Seaton 113 at 10:30 a.m.
