Graduation (ETS) Assessment Fees
Approval for minutes of March 15, 2007 was moved by Ray Hightower and seconded by Mike Perl. Motion carried.
Julie discussed military recruitment and enrollment service initiatives that are being provided for the soldiers and their families. Services that are provided include a new recruitment brochure, a recruitment website that can be researched from the KSU home page, and a portal that provides soldiers with tuition assistance.
If soldiers are taking online courses and plan to return to KSU for further studies, they will need assistance from their advisor, faculty member and Julie Katz to complete a plan of study or long-range plan.
One contact person will need to be selected by each college for Julie to submit the curriculum reports to review for accuracy. The reports will be returned to her in a timely manner. Each CAPP member should send the name and e-mail addresses for their contact person to David Delker, who will send the contact list to Julie Katz at ksukatz@ksu.edu .
A senior survey was sent out for the first time by email to graduating seniors in December 2006. The survey had a sixty-percent response success rate.
Senior survey information was placed in the Collegian and on the side walks to promote student awareness. Incentives for the seniors to fill out the survey included prizes to be awarded.
It was recommended that the senior survey be emphasized to advisors and placed on the graduation checklist to be completed before graduation.
Alumni Surveys should be sent out electronically every one and four year alumni. The next alumni report will be available in May.
The next senior survey will be completed this summer.

CAPP Members discussed the possibility of permitting honor students priority enrollment scheduling. After much discussion, it was decided that it was best for all honor students to enroll by the number of hours that they have completed at the time of the enrollment session.
A question was raised whether a college has the right to include successfully passing an assessment test as a graduation requirement.
The College of Education currently requires the students to pass an ETS-based test before they are admitted into the degree program. The consensus was that such a decision is left to the individual college.
