Nancy Mosier announced that she would be leaving the Associate Dean's position as soon as a replacement is hired. The college is conducting a search now.
The minutes for the May 21, 2004 meeting were approved.

Jackie Spears explained to CAPP that the Calendar Committee had set the 2004 summer sessions for two five-week sessions and one eight-week session. She stated that faculty wanted standard class times set for summer school and suggested that in the fall CAPP develop standard times for the 5-5 and 8 week sessions. Gunile DeVault suggested the committee wait until the decision on the calendar for '04-'05 is made.
Gunile DeVault reported that the 2004 Intersession was approved as a two-week Intersession by the Board of Regents and could not be changed. The committee had approved a three-week Intersession at the May 21, 2003 meeting. After some discussion it was recommended that Betty Stevens check with the Provost office concerning the dates of the 2004 Intersession.
Gunile DeVault informed the committee that the policy for Non-standard class times does not allow the committee to give permanent approvals. The committee must review each semester. Loleta Sump reminded the committee to review each semester because the room usage can change. It was suggested that Loleta should come to the meetings when Non-Standard Class Time Petitions and ORCs are reviewed. The committee decided to indicate approvals that would be 'one-time-only' from the 'on-going' approvals with an asterisk.
Monty Neilsen and Gunile DeVault briefly announced the following:
Ray Hightower distributed a draft of a proposal to replace the UGE program. He said the College of Engineering planned to submit the proposal this fall. He asked the committee members to read through it and contact him with their comments or suggestions.
