Academic Staff

Melinda Bainter, Senior Administrative Assistant

Melinda assists the department head and oversees the academic needs of the department. This includes textbook orders, class line schedules, department seminars, room scheduling, undergraduate student records and departmental databases. She is also responsible for key requests and records. Melinda assists the faculty as needed.

Amanda Braun, Administrative Assistant

Amanda assists the Graduate Biochemistry Group Chair and is responsible for all paperwork related to graduate recruitment. She also acts as the social media manager, serves as receptionist, and assists the Senior Administrative Assistant as needed.

Financial Staff

Belinda Baber, Accountant II

Belinda oversees all aspects of the departmental finances. She is responsible for hiring procedures and processing payroll for all classified, unclassified and graduate student employees; assisting faculty with grant budget issues from proposal to final reporting; obtaining bids for large equipment purchases; and billing for the NMR Facility.

Karry Clark, Administrative Specialist

Karry oversees the daily accounts payable functions for the department, process the orders and payment documents. She is responsible for processing all travel for the department, reconciling the monthly statements and hiring and processing payroll for all student hourly appointments.
