Resource
materials were chosen to compliment the permanent collection of the Beach
Museum of Art and upcoming traveling exhibitions.
A variety
of credit options are available including contact points, in-service,
and for-credit classes. Fees will vary. The Museum can provide catering
for an extra charge. Call the Museum for more information.
National
Gallery of Art Lending Affiliate Program
The Beach Museum of Art has been chosen as a Lending Affiliate for
the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. The Lending Affiliate
program will enable teachers to borrow educational resources materials
developed by the National Gallery of Art from a local agency, the Beach
Museum of Art. Teachers will be able to borrow materials for a one-week
period for a $10 returnable deposit. Materials can be reserved
by calling the museum's Education Coordinator, at 532-7718. All materials
must be picked up at and returned to the Museum.

Teacher
Workshops
The Beach Museum of Art will be available for teachers workshops relating
to Museum topics and lead by Museum staff. Programs can be tailored to
the needs of the group and topics include using the museum with
school groups, topics in art history, and integrating art into the curriculum.
In addition, the Museum will offer occasional courses through the University
or workshops related to exhibitions.
Rental
Packets
Packets containing the slides and scripts of the Outreach Programs are
available to teachers outside the 15-mile radius for a one-week period.
The packet includes vocabulary, biographies of the artists, and activity
ideas. The school must pre-pay a shipping and handling fee of $5.00
and cover return postage. The Rental Packet can be returned in person
to save return postage. Contact the Education Coordinator at 532-7718
to reserve packets.
