The people I encounter every day, simply walking on campus motivate me to pursue constant self-improvement and have greatly impacted the person I am today. Without a doubt or reservation my favorite experience was not being able to sleep the night before the 2009 KU-KSU football game and standing in line at 6am to be on the front row. I was way too excited to give the Jayhawks a hard time during warm ups. Dedicated fans and I would do anything and everything to give the ‘Cats an edge against the opposing team.

My favorite experiences at K-State would by far and away be going to K-State basketball games, especially the KU game my freshman year when we beat them with Beasley and Walker. My freshman year I was able to go with my brother to every game, which made that season even better for me.

Fall of 2009 I was blessed with fourteen amazing freshman students to get to know as an Introduction to Leadership Small Group Teacher. Once a week we would meet as a large group for about an hour, and then as a small group for an 45-60 minutes. There has been nothing more rewarding in my time at KSU than getting to know the students in my small group and see the servant hearts they all possessed.
