Bonto Faburay

Faburay does molecular microbiology research in emerging and zoonotic animal diseases, with a focus on vaccines, diagnostics and pathogenesis of infection for Rift Valley fever and prions.

Faburay holds a doctorate in molecular epidemiology from The Netherlands, and an honorary doctorate of veterinary medicine from the Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology in Russia. His hobbies include soccer.
