The Division of Biology is seeking a half-time program assistant/coordinator to work with the co-directors of the KSU Ecological Genomics Insititute (KSU EGI) to carry out EGI activities. The successful candidate will coordinate and provide support for the activities of the EGI and associated KSU genomics-related programs. Job responsibilities include: helping to plan and staff events such as an annual international symposium, summer research forum, workshops and scheduling meetings; facilitating communication among members; maintaining and updating the website; developing electronic media including newsletters, and brochures; and working with the Directors to ensure that strategic plans are being executed. A bachelors degree in business or related field and administrative or project coordination experience is required. Skills required include: excellent communication and organizational skills, self-motivation and the ability to work independently, familiarity with email utilities, word processing and website maintenance.
