Spiritual Activities

Beta Sigma Psi National Fraternity was founded upon the Lutheran faith. Such spiritual activites include monthly Beta Sig Sundays at local congregations, Sunday night Bible studies, fund raisers and dinners with local congregations.

Beta Sigma Psi has always promoted the highest of ideals, developing a solid Lutheran brotherhood and a strong religious background. Although some members are not formally Lutheran before joining, they have converted and found the Lutheran congregation both generous and rewarding.

Beta Sig Sunday

Every month, members of Beta Sigma Psi come together to attend one of the local Lutheran congregations in Manhattan. Beta Sig Sunday is a joint effort between local pastors and our members to enhance and improve relations between Beta Sigma Psi and local pastor’s respective congregations.

As well, Beta Sig Sunday allows members the opportunity to share faith and communion with each other. Often times, members will go out together and eat following the morning service.

Sunday Night Bible Study

Sunday nights at the Beta Sig house allow the opportunity to relax and catch up on the next week’s assignments. Although the Bible study is optional, all members are encouraged to attend to relax for 30 minutes during Bible study. Many members find the study rewarding and discover joy in the chance to incorporate Bible study from their hometown congregations into their college life

Fund Raisers & Congregation Dinners

Beta Sigma Psi and its members incorporate various fund raisers with the local congregations to gain funds for various house improvement projects. Often times, Beta Sigs will provide breakfast meals or luncheon dinners to the local congregations for its fund raisers. This allows the community to help support our efforts and to provide an after service meal to the congregation.
